On Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, a volunteer from the Neue Osnabr\u00fccker Zeitung (NOZ) and a photographer were with me to report on my hobby of astronomy, the comet C\/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) and the \u201csupermoon\u201d. The article should appear in the online edition of NOZ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weather forecast gave hope. When the time came, around 7:30 p.m., a wall of clouds moved in front of the comet! Otherwise it would have been easy to observe from my front door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then in my little garden observatory. The moon was still hidden behind trees, but the wall of clouds was getting closer. So, there were no photos of the moon either. Instead, we had a longer conversation about our lovely hobby. You can tell so much about it! Both visitors were very impressed by my garden observatory and its ability to carry out astronomical observations and capture them in pictures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My guests said goodbye around 9:30 p.m. If the weather had cooperated, the idea of \u200b\u200bamateur astronomy would have been a little clearer. But it was obviously impressive enough. On Saturday, November 9th, 2024, the article appeared in the digital edition of NOZ*. Pretty well done. An advertisement for our hobby. Unfortunately, a few small errors had crept in: Proxima Centauri cannot be seen from the northern hemisphere. I also don't know all the little stars by name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
